Google have launched the fourth edition of their Pixel phones, featuring a 90 Hz display and dual cameras. Both the Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL are equally capable devices with the differentiating factors being the screen and battery capacity that sets the two models apart.
Here a quick walk-through of what all you get when you buy a Pixel4/ 4XL
Screen
The Google Pixel 4 features a 5.7” OLED panel with 1080p+ resolution. The XL model gets a larger, sharper 6.3” display with QHD+ resolution. Both the models feature a screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate.

The Pixels have got rid of the notched design this time around, and carries clean 19:9 aspect ratio – but with a somewhat bigger forehead that houses a lot of advanced technologies including a radar system called Soli for touch-less gesture controls and a 3D depth sensor for secure face unlock, with which Google has said goodbye to fingerprint readers completely.
Internals
The two phones are powered by the Snapdragon 855 (non-plus) with 6GB of RAM. The base models get 64GB of storage, with a 128GB as the only other option in case you want a bigger on device storage.
As of the battery department, the Pixel 4 gets a small 2,800mAh battery, the XL is much better off with a 3,700mAh battery. Both the models support 18W USB Power Delivery fast charging using the included charger.
Cameras

The Pixel devices have always been known for their cameras. Both the Pixels are equipped with the same camera hardware. The main shooter has a 12MP sensor with Dual Pixel autofocus. This camera has optical and electronic image stabilization, plus 1.4µm pixels and a bright f/1.7 aperture. However, it’s the new Pixel Neural Core and Google’s proprietary algorithms that will make all the difference when it comes to the image quality.
The new Pixel Neural Core, the camera app can render HDR+ in real time, showing you an approximation of the result in the viewfinder to help you adjust the exposure properly. The Dual Exposure Controls give you manual control over the shadow and highlight renderingThis time around, Google have got rid of the ultra-wide angle camera and opted for a telephoto instead. It sports a 16MP sensor (1.0µm) plus OIS and EIS. The focal length is not quite double that of the regular camera, but the Super Resolution Zoom software will try to extend that beyond 2x zoom. As for the videos, the main camera tops out at 4K 30fps video capture and a 120fps slow-motion mode at 1080p.
Colour Options

You can have a pixel for yourself in one of the three available options: Just Black, Clearly White and the new Oh So Orange. The Clearly White and the new Oh So Orange comes with a matte finish back, as against the shiny glass back of the Just Black option.
